On Wednesday 27th March 2019 a small group of Earth School students went to Farming for the future to present their zero waste initiatives and talk about their collaboration with the wonderful community group Carterton Boomerang bags.

The students stole the show - it was a very big audience to present to and we only had a very short time slot. The sustainable enterprise team did a fantastic job of sharing their enthusiasm for reducing single use plastics in our community.

Farming for the Future is an annual one-day seminar held in the Wairarapa, created by the South Wairarapa Biodiversity Group and the Mangaterere Restoration Society. Since 2014 it has been helping farmers, businesses, and organisations improve their knowledge and understanding of the natural environment, reduce their environmental footprint, and achieve more sustainable outcomes.
